Haskell Wexler

I had the privilege to meet Haskell, when I applied for a job to work as his assistant. He was the most gracious, intelligent, optimistic and still full of so much energy and hope and he was already 90. He was genuinely interested in me as a person, made me lunch and said that he looked forward to watching my career blossom. I didn't get the job (his wife wanted him to have a male asst. Lol) but he called me to tell me. I will never forget him walking me to the door and hugging me goodbye. It was the first job I cried about not getting. I knew I had met a legend, and more importantly a man of integrity who fought for his ideals and a true example of the human spirit. I will never forget you Haskell, and will always try to be someone you respect. Guess you will have to watch my career from heaven. ‪#‎RIPHaskellWexler‬ ‪#‎DocumentaryFilm‬ ‪#‎heartbroken‬ #12On12Off
